M+S LA, an award-winning landscape architecture firm in Berkeley, is currently accepting applications for a mid-level landscape architect with 3-7 years of experience. Well-rounded professionals possessing exemplary design, technical and project management skills are strongly encouraged to apply.  

Responsibilities include:

+ Collaborating with principals to develop design.

+ Providing management and oversee production of documents of projects through all phases of delivery.

+ Leading coordination with Architects and Engineers.

+ Attending project presentations and meetings.

+ Attending site visits during construction.

+ Solving complex design problems and anticipate necessary coordination issues.

+ Overseeing work of approximately 1-3 people and anticipate staffing requirements for project production.

+ Keeping principals updated on project issues and schedules.


Candidates should possess:

+ Degree from an accredited Bachelors and/or Master’s program in Landscape Architecture.

+ Professional experience in a Landscape Architecture or Architecture firm.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office required.  Familiarity with Sketchup, Rhino and Revit a plus.

+ Strong design and technical skills.

+ Professional communication and leadership skills including experience managing projects, developing schedules, tracking project issues          and approvals, and overseeing the work of an in-house design team.

+ Experience interacting with clients and leading presentations.

+ Experience in Construction Documentation and Construction Administration.

+ Experience with marketing and proposal writing.

+ A desire to thrive in a small, collaborative office environment.
